Over the summer season the Southern Right Whale comes to the south coast of South Africa to calf and mate, and this provides a wonderful opportunity to get close to and observe the whales basking in their natural habitat. A whale watching trip by boat is an exciting way to view the whales, you get as close as 15m before the engines are cut. Your vessel is an 8m long rubber duck with two 85 horse power engines. The trip lasts an hour and a half, and leaves from the near by Simons Town Harbor on a regular basis depending on the weather.
